We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we process it, who we share it with and the rights you have under Swiss data protection law.

Who is responsible
Taplino is the controller responsible for the personal data processed through this website and our services. You can reach us with any privacy question at hello@taplino.ch. Full company details are listed in our imprint.
What data we collect
We process the following categories of personal data: Contact and order data you provide, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address and the details of your order. Communication data from the messages you send us, for example by email or through a contact form. Payment data needed to process your purchase, which is handled by our payment providers. Usage and technical data collected automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view and the date and time of access.
Why we use your data
We process your data to fulfil and deliver your orders, respond to your enquiries, operate and improve our website and service, keep our systems secure, send you service-related messages and, with your consent, occasional product updates, and to comply with legal obligations such as accounting and tax rules. We rely on the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate business interests, our legal obligations or your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies and analytics
We use the cookies needed to run the website and, where you agree, cookies or similar technologies that help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies and change your choice at any time in your browser settings. Where we use analytics services, we configure them to limit the data collected about you.
Hosting and server logs
Our website is hosted by a specialised provider that processes data on our behalf and under our instructions. For security and stability, the server automatically records log data such as your IP address, the request made and the time of access. This data helps us keep the service reliable and detect misuse, and is deleted or anonymised after a short period.
Sharing your data
We never sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary: with service providers who work on our behalf, such as hosting, payment, shipping and email providers, and with authorities or advisors where the law requires it. These providers may process your data only under our instructions and are bound to keep it confidential and secure.
Data transfers abroad
Some of our service providers process data outside Switzerland, including in the European Economic Area and other countries. Where we transfer personal data to a country that does not offer an equivalent level of protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss authorities, to protect your data.
How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Order and invoicing data is retained for the statutory retention period, which in Switzerland is generally ten years. Other data is deleted once it is no longer needed.
Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work continuously to keep our safeguards up to date.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict its processing. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@taplino.ch; we may need to verify your identity first. If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our service or the law. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update shown above.
